Words of Wisdom:
“When criminals go to a gun store now and flunk the background check and committed a felony in lying on the form, this administration has the worst record of any modern president in prosecuting those people,” Alan Gotlieb
Executive Action or Inaction?
This week the President made some announcements about how he was addressing gun control. After a couple weeks of build up, it was a bit underwhelming. That doesn’t mean that there are not serious threats in how he appears to interpret the law. To John though, it seems that it may be intended to chill activity related to firearms through ambiguity. If there is enough confusion about the law and the consequences of a sale, most people will avoid the risk.
Mike notes that the White House blog, linked above, cites statistics, but doesn’t give any source. In addition, ATF has already released their guidance based on the President’s announcement, but we are still waiting on the ATF to respond to a court ruling about regulations governing handgun sales outside one’s home state.

We are joined by Matt Andras and Jack Pyle of CNJFO. They are the president and treasurer of the organization, who you can go see at the Outdoor Sports Show this weekend. Matt and Jack talk to us about their vision for the organization and their goals for 2016. There appear to be three areas they seek to address can be categorized as the social, educational and awareness aspects of 2A advocacy. They are also the force behind the “Justifiable Need” Project. You can find them at CNJFO.com
